AMU VC Lays Foundation for Minority Girls’ Home in Central Kishanganj

Agra: The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Prof. Tariq Mansoor, laid the foundation stone of the Minority Girls Hostel at Kishanganj Centre, Bihar on Tuesday via video conference. The new hostel will be built at the cost of 10.50 crore, the fund provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

“I express my gratitude to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of Bihar and Chief Minister of State Nitish Kumar for their generous support. We are indebted to their favour,” the Vice-Chancellor said.

“We have also submitted a detailed proposal to the Ministry of Education for approval of posts and funds for the center, which was recently reviewed at a meeting of the ministry,” he said.

Prof. Hassan Imam (Kishanganj Center Director), UMA Registrar Abdul Hamid-IPS, Prof. M Mohsin Khan (Finance Officer) and Prof. Afifullah Khan (OSD Development) also attended the online program .
