A Nigerian mother is unhappy with the services she receives from a private Nigerian university where her son is a student. The woman says she pays huge tuition fees, but the services don’t seem to be worth it.

A video shared on Instagram by @instablog9ja showed hostel accommodation which the mother says is not worth the N1.2million fee she is paying for her son.

The video showed a wardrobe with a broken door inside what looked like a one-room apartment. Also, there was a flat mattress for one person on the floor.

Tuition fees are high

The woman who revealed how much she was paying for her son lamented the condition of the room assigned to him. An inscription seen on the video reads:

“My son just showed me the room he was asked to stay in after paying over N1.2million in school fees.”

The video quickly reminded Nigerians of their own hostels at the schools they attended. Some of the comments said the hall was not comparable to public schools. Read some of the reactions below:

The Vice-Chancellor orders the closure of the University of Benin

In another story previously reported by Legit.ngthe Rector of the University of Benin ordered the closure of the university.

Professor Lilian Salami has also ordered students to vacate their hostels with immediate effect. His order was in reaction to the protest that rocked the university.

Students at the university protested a 20,000 naira fee charged by the school management as a penalty for late payment of their tuition fees.
